Minaean Secures Largest Monthly Purchase Order Of 2009 From Shell In India For Supply Of Retail Buildings

Vancouver, BC, Canada – Minaean International Corp. (TSX Venture Exchange: MIB; Berlin and Frankfurt Stock Exchanges: NJA) (the “Company” or “Minaean”) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Minaean Habitat (India) Pvt. Ltd. (“MHI”), has received purchase orders from Shell India Marketing Pvt. Ltd. (“Shell”) for the supply and installation of 8 modular retail buildings for its gas stations as part of a long contractual relationship between both companies dating back to 2006.
Shell remains a valuable customer of MHI. Since 2006, MHI has supplied 63 such modular retail outlets to Shell which serve as convenience stores at their gas stations. MHI was the recipient of the ‘Shell Safety Award’ in 2007 demonstrating the Company’s total quality and safety commitment to its customers. In April, 2008 it received another award from Shell for 500,000 injury free work hours.
The modular retail outlets will be manufactured and prefabricated in MHI’s Mumbai facility, after which they will be transported and installed at sites within the Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra. MHI will generate revenue of $520,945 CAD from this order.
This quarter has shown steady resumption of business activity in the Indian market with government backed oil and gas giants showing interest in Minaean’s solutions.
